The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread

I just had a lovely little nap. I meant to go for a walk to the Wedge to get catnip for Carmen's new kitten(s), but I couldn't keep my eyes open!

During my nap, I dreamed that I was at Murzyn Hall for a Girl Scouts event with my little sister. In my dream, I was me today, but Nicky and her little Girl Scout friends were about six years old!

I had parked my new Jeep in the lot behind the hall. I could have sworn I fed the meter enough, even though it didn't make sense to have meters in the lot.

We were baking crescent rolls and biscuits, and somehow, I got the breads in my bag. I went to grab something from the Jeep, and some douche was towing it away!

I thought that since I was there, he shouldn't be able to tow it. I begged and pleaded, and he still said he had to. He popped a huge wheelie in the lot with my car. I begged him to let me pay him NOW, so they didn't have to tow it. He said no, since he would get at least $150 each way, to and from the tow lot. I didn't know they delivered! :P

He drove me up to the door of the hall, and said that if I could give him $40 cash NOW, he would leave the car with me. I went inside and got my Uncles and Grandpa to pull some cash out of their pockets. Steve Hennen, my Aunt's loser boyfriend, pretended like he didn't have any $$. Grandpa pulled out his wallet, and it was FULL of cash. He told me to take what I needed and not worry about paying it back.

I snapped back out of my dream and into the real world after I paid the guy. Weird.

This jacket is adorable!

This hoodie is great, too! Perfect warmth and size for wearing under my scooter jacket as the weather cools off.

Every girl needs a giant velociraptor for her living room.

When I win the lottery, this bracelet...and the matching necklace shall be mine!

The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread
16 September 2009 @ 02:37 pm
Tuesday, I was rudely awakened by the kitchen sink gurgling rather loudly. I had fallen asleep on the couch...again...so I guess it wasn't a bad thing to be woken up. I headed back to bed after making sure that nothing was leaking. I woke up for reals at a decent hour. Went to buy some knives. Hit up the bank. Hit home before heading out for more errands.

On my way to see the Pantsmom for dinner, I heard the rattling noise on my scooter get exponentially louder. When I got to a good stopping place, I checked out the undercarriage of my scooter--the center kickstand was falling off! I was not pleased. :(

Had a lovely dinner with Mom and Watson at Keegan's in NE. The server was something of a flake. The cider was nasty, and their Irish Ale was watery. Their chicken strips rivaled that of a Denny's in terms of quality--they were certainly not grilled like the menu advertised them to be. I wouldn't eat there again. :(

After dinner, I headed home for a bit. Got my ass in gear and hit up Calhoun for a quick rollerblade to work off the fact that I haven't been exercising regularly for months now. :P I saw a very lovely transition from the sky--orange to purple to black. Lovely, but dangerous! I only went around the lake once. Stretched and hung out by my tree for a while before heading home.

I had a very lovely shower, then headed out to Suzi's. Met Jerry, Thad and Jeremy there. We had a really nice group, as per usual. :) Jerry grilled Jeremy about his impending interview. I know he left the conversation feeling much better and confident about the interview. :D

We got back to his place with the intention of playing Boom Blox or watching an episode of LOST, but I crashed HARD. Had some wacky dreams, as per usual. Locke, Jack and Kate from LOST were holding me hostage and trying to kill me with a poisoned stake in my ankle. STRANGE!

Wednesday, being today, we got up at a reasonable hour. I cooked breakfast while he shaved. I managed to defrost the ham wrong, burn said ham while cooking it, and over-steam the edamame, resulting in not enough butter or salt taste. I *did* use Tiff's magical egg basting secret, and Jerry LOVED the eggs. Well, he loved AN egg. I over cooked one of them, but the second one was perfect. ;)

I headed out from his place to Scooterville. I was supposed to go look at an office chair, but I felt too pressed for time. After getting the kick stand fixed, I headed to Target for more veggies. I got a cute little gift for my sister and her friends. All three of them are teaching this semester. I bought them stamps, stickers and ink for the stamps. All of them are for grading papers. :P They are all crafty girls, so this is right up their alleys.

I'm home now. Just had a light lunch and am contemplating going out rollerblading again while the weather is nice. My legs aren't nearly as sore as I thought they would be, so that's good. I know I need to just DO IT, so I think I'm going to head out. :) Have a great Wednesday, everyone!

I hate, hate, HATE scary dreams. In my dream, I was a police officer. I had just gotten home from something, and pretty much all of the friends from last night's SPW were at my home with me. Since I was a cop, everyone that wasn't my friend hated me. Someone was at my home, breaking dishes, tapping on windows, and just generally trying to freak me out.

Toward the end of the dream, someone that was large[r than me] and had a bald head--Matt Gibson? Chris Leaf? Chris Pederson? Ryan Fuchs?--was trying to console me over this freaky person, when we heard my dog, Lady, yelp. (Lady has been dead since I was 18)

Someone poisoned my dog and killed her!! The friend who was consoling me over the psycho was going to see what the mo-fo's problem was, but we were terrified that he was going to get poisoned, too.

I forced myself awake at this point. I really want to go back to sleep, but I'm too scared that I'll fall back into the same dream. :( I really want water, but I'm too scared to go get it.

I hope none of you ever wonder again why I don't like watching scary movies. I would have nightmares ALL THE FRIGGIN' TIME if I did on any kind of regular basis. :( I really wish I wasn't sleeping alone right now. I feel bad for whoever might be sleeping with me, though, because I would wake THEM up and make them go get me some water. :P

It's after 2am. Why am I still awake? This week has the potential to be a repeat of last week in terms of sleeping schedule. Meh.

What I should do tomorrow:

* put clean clothes away
* wash ALL dirty clothes
* go to Target (soap, toothpaste, shampoo, mouthwash, flossers, etc...)
* find phone charger
* apply for any/all jobs possible (things at werk are much better, but there are days when I am never on the schedule...I'd like to fill some of those shifts up)
* get to bed at a reasonable hour

What I probably will do tomorrow:

* go to lunch with my Mom
* finish recap of this past week...it's worth the read, I promise
* clean [info]pixiecup's house
* take a nap
* go to the Artist's Quarter with Corey (from Vescio's) to play arm candy while he does comedy
* get to bed at an unreasonable hour

Someone come force me to clean my house one of these days!!

OH--and I hope I don't forget to write about my TERRIFYING dream I had during my power nap this afternoon...Sunday afternoon...whatever. SCARY.

Yay, I am going to the store. I need food in the house in the worst way.

I had a ton of really wacky dreams last night.

- Mom and Darin were over and they ate the tilapia in my freezer. I was really mad about that one.
- Mom and I robbed an entire city of its goods, and then they busted us by pouring water on us...they weren't even mad! They were just happy they busted us and that they got to do so as a town. Weird.
- I was speaking to my ex boyfriend and he wasn't happy...he called shortly after this dream this morning. GRR.

I know there were more dreams, but I can't remember them all. Oh well. FOOD TIME! I just might have another burrito today! You are all jealous of mah burritos. ;)

I slept on the couch last night. Just seemed like a good thing to do. This couch SRSLY rivals my bed in terms of comfort. I <3 it.

Had some wacky dreams.

I'm off to job #1. Then a few errands. Then job #2. Hopefully I have time to come home and wash my apron before job #2.

woo
I got about 8 hours of sleep the last two nights. Yesterday, I still felt like I hadn't slept in about a week. Today, I'm feeling slightly better. I had wacky dreams, though. Also, as I was falling asleep, I felt like someone was thinking about me. It was almost like thoughts were being PUT into my mind...it was odd.

Today, I'm off to werk from 10:30-5. Provided my replacement comes in on time (she never does) I will be back home by 6. If I AM back on time, I will have time to do laundry. If not, I have no idea when I will get around to doing it. I'm off to babysit tonight at 8, so that 6pm home time is CRUCIAL. We'll see.

Happy Thursday, everyone!

OH--[info]scoundrelle just dropped off my new outfit. I cannot wait until I have time to try it on and TAKE PICTURES! :)

The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread

I don't remember how it all started, so this might be disjointed in terms of order. I think it started off with Aaron (a friend from high school) "breaking it off with me", even though we were never dating, and telling me that I'll never find anyone better than him. As I was getting in the car with a tall, dark and handsome stranger (who later turned out to be [info]so_long_apollo, who I believe is taller than me, is *not* dark, and personally, he's not exactly my type...but still funny in my dream!

Back to the subject, Ward took me out of Aaron's presence and over to [info]eagon's apartment. He was asleep in his bedroom, and somehow, the front door was unlocked. I walked right in! His cat Knockers was really friendly and sweet (which she usually is not) so I played with her till Chris decided to wake his candy ass up. In the meantime, [info]scorpi084, Chris's girlfriend, came into the room and decided I was there to steal Chris away from her. Needless to say, I had to hightail it out of there, too.

Ward, the TDaH, came to the rescue again, but we were interrupted by [info]anney, who really wanted to go to the casino and play penny slots. Ward wanted to meet up with us later, so Anney and I went to do our own thing. We played hella penny slots, Anney won zero money, I think I doubled my money.

Ward came back later with [info]brandawg and [info]styletax in tow. We all went on a ski trip to some mountain, even though I hate skiing, and it's summer here in MN. I think it was just the five of us to begin with, then Amanda's boyfriend joined us, along with Chris and Jasmine.

Somewhere along the lines, I decided it was time to either audition for a play or attend a play...can't remember which. In either event, it turned out to be one of [info]carinbrat's plays, which means that [info]kat_food, [info]duchess_of_pie, [info]aflamingstar, [info]couplandesque and her boyfriend Nic, and other assorted knitting/theatre people were there.

All of this happened sometime this morning between the hours of 6 and 9:20.

I have never had such realistic, memorable, or friendly dreams before! Nothing bad happened (aside from Jasmine thinking I was going to steal her man) and nothing ridiculously good happened either (I didn't win the lottery...boo). What a dream, though! Usually, when and if I dream, I remember bits and pieces of it. I think I've dreamed of people I know as friends before, but this was INTENSE. It felt like everyone was there!
